Brand Website Redesign: Architecture, Performance, and SEO

Redesigning a Brand Website Without Losing What Works
A redesign should solve a documented problem: visitors cannot understand the offer, mobile tasks are awkward, content is hard to maintain, pages are slow, or search traffic reaches the wrong destinations. A new visual skin without evidence can move the same problems into a prettier interface.

Establish a baseline
Record key landing pages, enquiries, search queries, conversion paths, Core Web Vitals, accessibility issues, and content maintenance pain. Export current URLs and inbound links. This baseline gives the project measurable priorities and protects valuable pages during migration.
Design the information architecture before screens
Group content around user questions and tasks. Each important page needs one clear purpose, a descriptive heading, supporting evidence, and a useful next step. Keep navigation labels concrete. Prototype the route from landing page to enquiry on mobile before polishing visual details.
Treat content and design as one system
Write representative copy early. Real headings, Persian line lengths, image ratios, tables, FAQs, and error messages reveal requirements that placeholder text hides. Build reusable components, but allow editorial rhythm where every page should not look identical.
Protect search visibility
Keep useful URLs where possible. Map every changed or removed URL to the closest relevant destination with a single permanent redirect, update internal links, canonicals, hreflang, Sitemap, and structured data, and avoid redirecting unrelated pages to the homepage. Google recommends descriptive, concise titles and people-first content that fully answers the user's task.
Budget performance from the start
Set limits for initial JavaScript, fonts, and hero images. Serve responsive WebP or AVIF images, reserve dimensions to prevent layout shift, self-host or carefully load critical fonts, and render essential content on the server when discovery matters. Test on a real mid-range phone and slower connection, not only a designer's desktop.
Launch with a reversible plan
Back up data, crawl staging, test forms and analytics, verify robots and noindex rules, prepare redirects, and monitor 404s and server errors after release. Submit the updated Sitemap and inspect representative URLs. Keep a rollback path until the new release is stable.
